Invitation

WELCOME
Isotope specialists from around the world are invited to meet in Catalonia, Tarragona Province, in September 2011 for the 9th Symposium on Applied Isotope Geochemistry (AIG-9).

The AIG-9 meeting is held under the stewardship of the International Association of GeoChemistry. The AIG-9 organizing and scientific committees are aiming at maintaining AIG's reputation of providing a relaxed atmosphere conducive to extended discussion and building scientific collaborations. To that end, we have selected the Ciutat de Tarragona Hotel (****), located in the city of Tarragona.

This venue will allow participants to reside in a single building, in the beautiful city of Tarragona, included in UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites and with the added value of Tarragona's privileged situation, on a hill next to the sea, with excellent views of the Mediterranean.

During the stay in Tarragona participants will discover the history of one of the most important cities during the Roman ages, while they will be lucky to enjoy of the festivities of Santa Tecla. Over the course of the conference week, participants will have the opportunity to admire both the Roman Tarraco, through a guide tour, and the rural landscapes of this area with its very important historical legacy during the mid-conference fieldtrip.

AIG-9 is an opportunity to meet people you know and others that are waiting to know you while living great experiences surrounded by a fantastic atmosphere and discovering wonderful places.

Looking forward to seeing you during AIG-9!
