Venice
Venice is one of the seven provinces of the Veneto region, one of the wealthiest, most developed and industrialized regions of Italy. Having one of the country's richest historical, natural, artistic, cultural, musical and culinary heritages, it is the most visited region of Italy.
Venice city, renowned for the beauty of its setting, its architecture and its artworks, is sited on a group of 118 small islands separated by canals and linked by bridges, in the Venetian Lagoon. The city along with its lagoon are listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
San Servolo
San Servolo is one of these small islands, easily reached from Venice (just an eight minutes "vaporetto" trip away).
Once a monastery, then a psychiatric hospital, the island is at present a centre of excellence for conferences, training seminars and cultural events.
Rooms for meetings, banquets, gala dinners, exhibiting spaces and terraces are situated in the context of beautiful and expansive parkland with a view to Saint Mark’s Square.
The Museum of Madness, a cloister and a stunning church from the eighteenth century complete San Servolo’s cultural offering.
The island of San Servolo owns a collection of art which is on display to all guests of the island.
