How to Arrive in San Servolo Island
Venice can be reached directly by air, car or train.
From Venice city centre
San Servolo island is easily reached with the public transport system of ACTV using Line 20 from San Zaccaria, monument stop (it takes about 10 minutes).
From Marco Polo Airport
The city centre is easily reached from the airport using public transport either by road or using the navigation system.
Alilaguna is the water bus (vaporetto) system which connects the airport with the city center. You have to take the Blue Line (Linea Blu) and get off at San Zaccaria stop to take Line 20 to San Servolo.
Please, note that the LINE 20 (see timetable) leaves from a different pier of the Alilaguna stop at San Zaccaria.
Depending on the departure time (see timetable) the water bus departing from the Airport may not stop at San Zaccaria. If so, you have to get off at San Marco stop. From San Marco you then make your way to the San Zaccaria boat stop to take Line 20 to San Servolo. For further information please check the blue line timetable.
ATVO is the bus which runs from 9am to midnight and which connects the airport (from outside the arrivals area) to Piazzale Roma in about 20 minutes.
ACTV (Line 5, Bus 5) is a public bus service that connects the airport with Piazzale Roma in about 25 minutes.
By Car
Should you arrive by car, there is ample parking in Piazzale Roma, Garage Comunale, Garage San Marco, or at Tronchetto Park.
A vaporetto water bus service is available from Tronchetto to San Marco.
From Piazzale Roma to San Servolo you can take public water buses Nº1, Nº51, Nº41 or Nº61 in direction to "Lido", and get off at San Zaccaria.
From here you have to make your way to the San Zaccaria Monument stop to take Line 20 to San Servolo (it takes about 10 minutes).
From the Train Station

The Travel Cards of public transport ACTV are the most economical solution for people who want to get around Venice and its surroundings on ACTV’s land and water services.
They allow unlimited travel for 72 hours from Monday May 18 (0:00 hs) to Wednesday May 20 (24:00 hs) on all ACTV public transport means, both water bus and land bus (urban services within the municipality -"comune"- of Venice, and land services on the Lido and in Mestre), except the following routes:
- Water bus: Alilaguna routes, and ACTV routes Nº 19, 16, 21 and Casinò
- On land: land bus routes for journeys having Venice Marco Polo Airport as departure or arrival point.
The special price of the 3- day Conference Pass is €28.00 per person. You can place the travel card order on your personal account before February 28, 2015.
