Objectives

The Congress on Numerical Methods in Engineering aims to act as a forum to collect relevant scientific and technical developments in the numerical methods and computational mechanics fields.

CMN 2013, jointly organized by the Spanish (SEMNI) and Portuguese (APMTAC) associations for numerical methods, will be a meeting point for researchers and technicians of both countries and the Latin American community.

Previous meetings of the Numerical Methods in Engineering Congress were held in Madrid (2002), Lisbon (2004), Granada (2005), Porto (2007), Barcelona (2009) and Coimbra (2011).

The scientific program of the congress will be structured in thematic sessions of different fields in numerical methods. Papers presented at the congress will be a reference of recent advances and future research directions.
Plenary lectures will be addressed by researchers of international prestige in the field.

CMN 2013 precedes the 25th Anniversary of the Spanish Society for Numerical Methods in Engineering (SEMNI), in 2014. On July 20-25, 2014 will take place in Barcelona the joint organization of the 11th. World Congress on Computational, the 5th European Conference on Computational Mechanics (ECCM V) and the 6th European Conference on Computational Fluid Dynamics (ECCFD VI) in coincidence with this anniversary.
