The series of MEMSWAVE International Symposia, which started in 2000 in Sinaia
(Romania) and is thus at its 8th edition, is presently organized by the AMICOM
(Advanced MEMS For RF and Millimeter Wave Communications) Network of Excellence (http://www.amicom.info).
The Symposium is organized by the Signal Theory and Communications Department
(TSC, www.tsc.upc.edu) from the Technical University of Catalunya
(UPC, www.upc.edu) and technically sponsored by the European Microwave
Association (EuMA) www.eumwa.org.
The Symposium will provide an international forum for scientists and industrialists
for the exchange of information on the most recent advances and best achievements
in the area of RF MEMS with emphasis on European activities.
The Symposium consists of three events: the MEMSWAVE Conference (26-27 June), the 2nd RF
MEMS Workshop on Industry Application (28 June) and the RF-MST Workshop Cluster Meeting (29 June), a
meeting organized by AMICOM in collaboration with the European Commission, where the achievements
of MEMS-related EU projects will be presented and discussed.
The Symposium is aimed to cover, but is
not limited to, the following RF MEMS topics:
- Design and simulation tools (Electromagnetic, Mechanical, Thermal)
- Fabrication, process and materials
- Packaging, assembling, 3D integration
- Components and circuits
- Antennas
- MEMS and IC integration
- Reliability and testing
- Applications and system design
- FBAR and BAW
