All IEEE student members are invited and encouraged to enter the IGARSS Student Prize Paper Competition. Ten finalists will be selected by committee to present their paper during a special session at the conference in Barcelona. All finalists will be offered partial travel support funding. Following the special session at IGARSS, a complimentary ticket and three monetary awards will be given to the top three presenters at the GRSS Annual Awards Banquet.

To enter the IEEE GRSS Student Prize Paper competition, the author must submit the following requirements by January 12, 2007:

- An extended abstract of no more than four single-sided pages via the on-line system
- Completed application form at the fax number or address below
- Proof of the following eligibility requirements in the form of a signed letter 
  from your faculty advisor at the fax number or address below:
    o student under 33 years of age
    o candidate for a graduate degree
    o IEEE member
    o personally present the paper
    o publication in the IGARSS 2007 Proceedings
    o registration and participation at IGARSS 2007
    o attendance at IGARSS 2007 banquet (ticket provided)

First, second and third prizes with honoraria will be awarded at the IGARSS 2007 awards banquet to be held July 26, 2007.

If you will need travel support to participate in the student competition, you must complete and submit a travel application as noted under STUDENT TRAVEL STIPENDS. Entry in the competition does not guarantee travel assistance.
