Immigration
When you arrive at Ezeiza Buenos Aires airport (EZE), you’ll see 2 immigration lines when you exit the plane. One line is for passengers who have Argentina passports and the other line, usually longer, is for foreigners.

Entry fee or reciprocity tax When entering the Argentine territory, any citizen from Australia, Canada and the US shall have to pay a “reciprocity tax" (this is not a Visa). The Argentine Government has established this entry application fee in an amount equal to the fee any Argentine citizen must pay when applying for a Visa to visit such countries.

Picking up your bags
Once you get your bags, you’ll walk through customs and exit the baggage claim area. You’ll then see a few booths of shuttle and taxi services, and money exchange services. There are several options to get to your destination in Buenos Aires from Ezeiza airport. We recommend you take one of both: the white taxis or the shuttle service. See below for details.

Money exchange
Money exchange offices are open to the public according to the flight schedules. At Ezeiza International Airport, Banco Nación – located at the Arrivals Sector of Terminal A- is open for exchange operations 24 hours a day. There are also other money exchange booths and ATM machines.

Information desks
There is one information desk located on the ground floor of Terminal A Arrivals and it is open 24 hours. There is also another one on the ground floor of Terminal B and it is open from 0530 until the last flight. Courtesy telephones are situated around the terminal to call the information desk. The Ezeiza Buenos Aires airport also has a 24-hour information line (011) 5480 6111. Tourist information desks are located in Terminal A Arrivals and in the baggage reclaim hall of Terminal B Arrivals.

Facilities for Disabled Travellers
The Ezeiza Buenos Aires airport is equipped with ramps and lifts throughout the airport and there are specially adapted bathrooms, toilets and telephones. Telephones for the hearing impaired are also available. Disabled parking is available.

The airport is located 22 kilometres (14 mi) south-southwest of Buenos Aires and it takes approximately 40 minutes to arrive by taxi.

Taxi Ezeiza (white taxi): It costs about 60 USD (500 ARS-A$) to get to your downtown destination in Buenos Aires. No reservation is needed and you can just request one of these taxis by going to the white booth in the middle of the terminal. Tell them you want to go to “Capital Federal” and have an address of where you are staying. A driver will then help you with your bags and you’ll be in your hotel in about 40 minutes. Notice that these are not the regular taxis from Buenos Aires which are black and yellow.

Manuel Tienda León Company:
This company offers both, Taxi Service (called Remis Service) and Shuttle Service in Minibuses:
Remis Service: There are reservation booths in the arrival hall. It costs some 60 USD (500 ARS-A$) to get to your destination in Buenos Aires. This service offers you the maximum flexibility, security and time saving. The cars are comfortable and modern with uniformed drivers, with air conditioning systems, audio and permanent radio connection to the base.
Minibus / Shuttle: It costs some 20 USD (150 ARS-A$). All pick-ups and drop-offs to and from Ezeiza are stationed at the Terminal Madero at Av. Madero and San Martín. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time as well as at their counter at the Ezeiza terminal, online and the Terminal Madero station. You will then have to take a taxi or car service to get to your final destination unless you are lucky to be at walking distance of your hotel.

Public Bus: It will definitely be cheap but not recommended. A number of bus services operated to Ezeiza, Buenos Aires and the surrounding areas. Bus 394 runs to Monte Grande railway station and Camino de Cintura. Bus 502 runs to Ezeiza City. Bus 51 runs to Constitución via Monte Grande. Bus 86 operates between the airport and central Buenos Aires, Plaza de Mayo.

Car Rental: We do not recommend renting a car to visit Buenos Aires unless you need to go to other non-tourist destinations outside of Capital Federal. You will have to be very cautious due to the large number of vehicles, public buses stopping every 2 or 3 blocks, the narrow streets in downtown and the fact that drivers do not respect the lanes at all.
