AIR LINKS

Sardinia is linked to the main Italian and European airports by its three airports: Cagliari (Elmas) - 58 km from Chia, Olbia (Costa Smeralda) - 323 km from Chia, Alghero (Fertilia) - 286 km from Chia. The airports of Sardinia operate links with Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, UK, the Czech Republic, Spain, Israel, Luxembourg, Portugal, Russia and Switzerland. The Cagliari airport and port are the closest to Chia: about one hour’s drive by car or public transport.

SEA LINKS

Sardinia is linked to the main Italian and Mediterranean cities also by an extensive network of year-round and seasonal sea routes via its main ports of Cagliari, Olbia, Golfo Aranci and Porto Torres. The Cagliari port, the closest to the Resort, is the main port in southern Sardinia: it has links with the mainland Italy ports of Civitavecchia, Napoli, Palermo and Trapani, all operated by the Tirrenia ferry company.

How to get to Chia by car from Cagliari airport.

On leaving the airport in the direction of Cagliari, after the roundabout take Via dei Trasvolatori and take the turnoff to the right onto State road SS 130. After about 1 km, branch to the right onto State road SS 195 feed in, heading for DOMUS DE MARIA. Follow the road for about 50 km then take the left turnoff for Chia. After about 5 km you will find the Chia Laguna Resort on your right.

How to get to Chia by car from Cagliari port.

From the Cagliari port, take Viale la Playa and you will come immediately onto State road SS 195, in the direction of Pula. Follow the road for about 45 km, then take the left turnoff for Chia. After about 5 km you will find the Chia Laguna Resort on your right.
